It publishes original research articles, reviews and critiques. The main audience of the journal includes researchers, scientists, teachers, graduate students, and government officials interested in the development of Asian Russia and East Asian countries.<\/p>\r\n<p>One of the journal&#8217;s strategic goals is to integrate economic, sociological and ethnological (cultural-anthropological) knowledge. It specializes in publishing scientific articles devoted to the processes of modernization and transformation of modern societies in Inner Asia. Special attention is paid to studies of culture, everyday life, economics, social structure and social institutions, and power.
