One of the distinctive features of the formation and development of the social sphere in modern Mongolia is that it is inextricably linked with the centuries-old traditions and customs of the nomadic lifestyle of the majority of Mongols until the middle of the 20th century. Almost a quarter of the countryʼs population is engaged in traditional nomadic cattle breeding and, accordingly, leads a predominantly nomadic lifestyle. Thus, nomadism, as an important, integral part of the existence and life of modern Mongolian society, continues to have a great influence on all aspects of the life of the people and the country, including the social sphere. All this determines the relevance of the topic explored in the article.
Keywords: Mongolia, nomadic population, pastoralist, livestock.
