THE PATH TO TRUTH UNDER THE SIGN OF GESER: PAST AND PRESENT

The article examines the materials of the recently held 3rd International Conference «The Epic of Geser – the Spiritual Heritage of the Peoples of Central Asia» at the Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with a comparative analysis of previous scientific symposia held in Ulan-Ude in 1995 and 2020 under the same emblematic title. The Geser Epic, linked to its significance in the ethnocultural tradition of the Mongolian peoples and featuring distinctive Eurasian parallels, is considered as an epic phenomenon and the spiritual core of the traditional culture of the Buryat people.
