GROSS REGIONAL PRODUCT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BURYATIA
IN 2005–2023: ANALYSIS AND DYNAMICS

The article is devoted to the study of the structure and dynamics of the gross regional product (GRP) of the Republic of Buryatia, which is a summary indicator characterizing the economic development of the region. The main attention is paid to the dynamics of the gross regional product of the Republic of Buryatia over a fairly long period – from 2005 to 2023, and both absolute and per capita values are considered. The GRP indicators of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation within the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) are compared, as well as their values for the Republic of Buryatia with the average values for the FEFD.
The structure of the gross regional product of the Republic of Buryatia is analyzed by elements (gross profit and compensation of hired labor), as well as by type of economic activity. A conclusion is drawn about quite noticeable changes in the structure of the region’s GRP utilization over the period under review.
