METHODS AND TOOLS FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING OF DEVELOPMENT
OF PROBLEM REGIONS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The article is devoted to the study of the methodology of strategic planning for the development of Russian problem regions. The relevance, principles and tasks of state regulation of territorial development are indicated. The regulatory and legal framework for strategic planning of the development of a problem region is considered. Approaches to the typologization of regions, the main methods and tools of strategic planning for problem regions are investigated. It is revealed that the methodological aspects of building effective strategies for their development remain an urgent and important problem. A conclusion is made about the need to develop a universal methodology for implementing strategic planning of problem regions.

Approaches to typologizing regions, basic methods and tools for strategic planning of problem regions were investigated. It was revealed that the methodological aspects of building effective strategies for their development remain an urgent and important problem. It was concluded that it is necessary to develop a universal methodology for strategic planning of problem regions.
